These adapters were designed and printed for my motorcycle to solve a fitment issue without modifying any OEM parts. They are simple, functional, and intended to be easily printable on common consumer 3D printers.

The design prioritizes:

Proper alignment and spacing

Structural strength

Ease of installation

Minimal material waste

All parts were test-fit on my bike before uploading, but tolerances, hardware, and mounting points may vary between models and years, so please double-check measurements before printing or installing.

Printing Notes

Recommended material: PETG / ABS / ASA (PLA may deform under heat)

Print orientation: As provided

Infill: 30–40% (gyroid or cubic recommended)

Perimeters: 4+ walls

Supports: Not required (unless your printer struggles with bridges)

Even with heated grips, my hands still get cold when riding in colder weather. To fix that, I picked up a set of “knuckle buster” handguards from Amazon—but, as expected, they didn’t fit my bike out of the box.

They were the only guards I could find that looked like they’d work and seemed reasonably well made, so instead of returning them, I did what any self-respecting maker would do:

I designed adapters in Onshape and printed them in PETG.

After about five design revisions, this is the final version. The adapters fit snugly and have been working well in real-world riding.

Fitment Notes

Designed around my bike and my setup

I have small hands, so my clutch and brake levers are set to their closest positions

If you run your levers farther out, the design could be easily extended with minor modifications

The adapters fit tightly, but I added automotive cloth tape to the metal bars to prevent any slipping and protect the finish

Printed in PETG for durability and heat resistance

PLA is not recommended due to heat and vibration
