Model Description:
The Modular 3D Rattle is a child-friendly toy featuring a circular handle tube (designed for small hands to grip comfortably) with a threaded pin that screws through into the body. Inside, three loose tubular shapes—a circle, square, and polygon—slide freely along the pin, creating a gentle rattling sound when shaken. The design emphasizes simplicity, sensory engagement, and ease of assembly, with all parts sized to prevent accidental swallowing.

Design Concept:
The rattle prioritizes safety and tactile stimulation. The handle tube is ergonomically contoured for tiny hands, while the screw-in pin ensures secure assembly without sharp edges. The three geometric shapes are lightweight and slightly undersized relative to the pin to allow smooth movement and noise generation. Rounded edges and a matte finish minimize risk of irritation, and the modular design allows for customization (e.g., swapping shapes).

Print Settings:

The Rattle.3mf consist of 5 plates. It was purposely split into different plates to enable single filament 3D printers to print the shapes in different colors.

Assembly:

1. Put the pin through the hole with the thread first towards the inside of the shaker

2. Insert the shapes over the pin

3. Using a screw driver, screw the pin in tightly into the thread on the otherside
