Design Concept

To create a custom draw organiser for various office supplies including pens, pencils, highlighters, erasers, stamps, etc.

It needed to be able to be printed on a small sized print bed, which is why I had to create it in sections. The sections interlock using a dowel and socket type connection which are part of the design. It does not require any glue or screws or other means of securing the sections together. Dimensions of completed draw organiser is 450mm(l) x 310mm(w) x 60mm(h).

Slicer: Cura

Profile: Standard Quality (0.2mm)

Changes made to the Standard Quality

Infill Density: 10%

Printing Temperature: 220

Build Plate Temperature: 65

Generate Support: True

Support Placement: Touching Build Plate

Support Density: 15%

Build Plate Adhesion: None (however you can change this to what you prefer)

Assembly Instructions

Connect each section by lining up the pins and sockets on the two sections. Connect one section at a time in the order S1 -> S2 -> S3. This creates the left-hand side. Then connect S4 -> S5 -> S6a. This creates the right-hand side. Once both sides are connected, join them together.
