This is a large Duplo-compatible excavator featuring a positive detent clicker mechanism that produces an audible “click” as the arm moves up and down.

The excavator includes a 360-degree rotating base for full movement during play, while the arm provides clicking positional feedback to make operation more interactive and satisfying.

The arm is designed with easy on/off attachment points, making it simple to swap the bucket or connect other Duplo-compatible pieces to the end.

Thanks to standard Duplo compatibility, the design allows for endless combinations and creative builds using existing bricks and accessories.

All parts are designed to friction fit together, making assembly simple without hardware. Adhesive can be used if a more permanent build is desired.

This model was printed using a single CFS unit, with manual color changes performed during printing to achieve the desired color layout.

Assembly:

Assemble all components using the friction-fit connections.

Install the clicker mechanism into the arm pivot, allowing it to produce an audible click as the arm is raised and lowered.

Attach the arm and end attachment point, enabling quick swapping of buckets or other Duplo-compatible parts.

Once assembled, the excavator will rotate freely at the base and provide clicking feedback during arm movement.
