Design Concept

This model is a practical and minimalist butt cap designed for manual fishing rods. The geometry follows a simple cylindrical structure with a reinforced base flange that improves durability and provides better protection for the rod blank end.
The upper cylindrical section fits inside the rod handle or blank, while the wider lower base acts as a stopper and impact surface when the rod is placed on the ground. The design prioritizes mechanical strength, easy printing, and functional reliability while maintaining a clean appearance suitable for different rod styles.

Print Orientation
Print the part vertically with the base on the build plate. This orientation improves layer strength along the insertion direction and produces a smoother outer surface.
Assembly / Installation
Measure the internal diameter of the rod butt.
If necessary, scale the model slightly to achieve a tight friction fit.
Insert the cylindrical section into the rod handle.
For permanent installation, apply epoxy or cyanoacrylate glue before insertion.

Notes
For rods exposed to water and sun, PETG or ABS may provide better long-term durability than PLA.
