This owl model was created from a 3D scan of a hand-carved wooden owl, capturing the natural texture and character of the original carving. This is the full scanned own and log, which I added a flat base with screw holes, allowing it to be securely mounted to a wooden post or similar surface — perfect for outdoor display.

I personally printed and installed this model outdoors, using ASA filament to improve weather resistance and durability. If you plan to use it indoors, you can likely reduce wall count and material usage.

Recommended Print Settings for ASA (tested on Creality K2 Plus, 0.4mm nozzle):

Layer height: 0.2 mm

Walls: 3 - 4 for outdoors with ASA. If keeping indoors this could be reduced to 2 - 3 walls.

Infill: 10%

Infill pattern: Gyroid

Supports: Required. Type: Tree (Auto). Style: Default. Threshold angle: 45°

Material Advice:

ASA recommended for outdoor use (UV and weather resistance)

PLA / PETG suitable for indoor display
