🖤 Resin 3D Printing (SLA/DLP/MSLA) – Best for High Detail

✅ Recommended for smoother details, minimal layer lines, and fine features

Print Settings:

Layer Height: 0.025 - 0.05 mm (25-50 microns) for high detail

Bottom Layer Count: 4 - 8 layers

Exposure Time:

Normal Layers: 1.5 - 3 seconds

Bottom Layers: 25 - 35 seconds

Lift Speed: 3 - 6 mm/s (to reduce suction forces)

Lift Distance: 5 - 8 mm

Anti-Aliasing: Enabled for smoother surfaces

Supports:

Auto-supports with light/medium density (especially under the belly, tail, and legs)

Orient the model slightly tilted (20-30°) to reduce flat surface suction issues

Post-Processing:

Wash with 99% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for 30-60 seconds

Cure under UV light for 2-5 minutes, rotating for even exposure

Light sanding may be needed to remove support marks

🧡 Filament 3D Printing (FDM) – Best for Larger, Sturdier Prints

✅ Recommended for stronger prints with a more matte finish and visible layer lines

Print Settings:

Nozzle Size: 0.4 mm (standard) or 0.2 mm for better detail

Layer Height: 0.1 - 0.2 mm (fine details at 0.1mm, faster prints at 0.2mm)

Print Speed: 40 - 60 mm/s (slower for better detail)

Temperature Settings:

PLA: 190 - 210°C

PETG: 230 - 250°C

ABS: 230 - 250°C (requires an enclosure)

Bed Temperature:

PLA: 50 - 60°C

PETG: 70 - 85°C

ABS: 90 - 110°C

Supports:

Tree supports or standard supports under the belly, tail, and legs

Consider "Support Overhang Angle: 50°" to minimize support usage

Cooling Fan:

PLA: 100% fan speed

PETG: 40 - 60%

ABS: Off (prevents warping)

Adhesion:

Use brim or raft if needed to secure the legs during printing

Use a glue stick for extra bed adhesion

🎨 Post-Processing & Finishing (Optional for Both Methods)

Resin Prints: Light sanding, priming, and painting (acrylic paints work well)

FDM Prints: Sanding with grit 120 → 240 → 400, then priming and painting

For a smooth finish: Apply filler primer or resin coating before painting
