Owl-Reach is a crutch-mounted accessory designed to solve a practical challenge: managing a grabber tool while using crutches. It allows you to carry a grabber clip hands-free, so you can reach objects on the ground without having to set your crutches aside or hold extra tools while moving.

Why the name? The Owl-Reach is shaped like an owl, and the name is a play on the phrase: "I will reach." Because now you can.

Project Overview Managing handheld tools is difficult when using crutches. Traditionally, you must either balance awkwardly or occupy your hands with extra equipment. Owl-Reach provides a dedicated mounting point on the crutch itself. Clip your grabber into the Owl Clip and bring it with you. Your hands remain free for travel, and the tool is accessible exactly when you need it.

Design and Compatibility The system uses a flexible yet rigid approach. The Owl Clip is printed in TPU 95A to flex and securely hold various grabber diameters. The Branch Base interfaces with the crutch and is designed to fit both rectangular wooden crutches and cylindrical metal crutches of various sizes. For smaller diameter crutches, the wing-shaped geometry allows for the use of an elastic band underneath to tighten the fit if needed.

I have included STEP files so you can modify the dimensions to fit your specific equipment.

Usage and Licensing This project is primarily licensed under the Open Community License (OCL v1). It allows for non-commercial use, remixing, and sharing with proper attribution. On platforms where OCL is not supported, this project is offered under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 for compatibility.
