Compact 3D-Printed Travel Case for BetaFPV Pavo20

(My custom design prioritizing compactness, efficient space usage, and practicality)

I wanted a slim, purpose-built travel case for the Pavo20 that maximizes useful storage without unnecessary bulk. All versions use the same Pavo20CaseCapV2 top lid and clips for consistency.

Here are the three versions I developed, from tallest to most optimized:

1. Standard Version

This is the tallest option with maximum battery capacity.

• Stores 6× 450mAh batteries in a dedicated compartment under the quad

• Additional 4× 450mAh batteries in the mid-section

• Total: up to 10 batteries plus the drone

• Best for longer trips where you need lots of spares

2. Slim Version

I found the Standard too tall and bulky for everyday carry, so I removed the under-quad battery compartment entirely.

• Stores 4× 450mAh batteries in the mid-section only

• Much more compact height

• Still holds the quad comfortably

3. Flipped Slim Version (Recommended)

After using both earlier versions, I noticed two main annoyances:

• Having to open multiple layers just to grab the drone

• High center of gravity → case tips over easily when opened

So I redesigned it completely:

• All 4× 450mAh batteries moved to the bottom layer

• Quad mounted upside-down (props up) to save vertical space

• Lower center of gravity → much more stable when open

• Quick single-layer access to the drone

This is now my go-to version—most practical for daily use and transport.

My personal recommendation: Go with the Flipped Slim Version unless you really need to carry 6–10 batteries at once.
