This 3D printable “Steam Scope” is a fun and functional kitchen accessory designed to slightly lift your pot lid and safely release steam while cooking.

Inspired by industrial pipe design, this miniature periscope-style tube allows steam to escape in a controlled way — helping prevent lid rattling, boil-over, and excess condensation.

How It Works

The curved pipe hooks onto the rim of your pot and gently props the lid open by a few millimeters, allowing steam to escape upward through the vertical tube.

Print Settings (Recommended)

• Layer height: 0.2 mm

• Infill: 20–40%

• Material: PLA / PETG (PETG recommended for heat resistance)

• Supports: Not required

• Print orientation: Vertical

⚠ For best results, use heat-resistant filament such as PETG or ABS.
