Tarp / shade-cloth clamp with serrated fabric-grip, printed bolt, and a latch-compatible slot. A separate ladder-slide latch (or rope/webbing) can be used with the clamp but is not included in the 3D model or download. The clamp also features an integrated retention lip (anti-release barb) to help prevent accidental unhooking.

Design concept & features

Clamping body with printed bolt — single printed part (plus printed bolt) that clamps fabric using serrated teeth.

Latch-compatible slot (NOT included) — sized to accept a commercial ladder-slide latch or to route rope/webbing; the ladder latch is compatible but not part of the model.

Integrated retention lip (anti-release barb) — small geometry that blocks the ladder latch or rope from slipping out under load.

Serrated gripping face — teeth designed to bite into tarp/shade cloth without excessive tearing.

Optional metal hardware — you may substitute an M5/M6 screw + washer/nyloc for higher strength; the printed bolt is intended for all-plastic builds.

Low profile & spring geometry — compact shape to reduce snagging and provide clamping action without separate springs.

Printing recommendations

Material: PETG recommended for outdoor use; ASA for long-term UV resistance.

Orientation: print the clamp on its side so latch slot and retention lip print cleanly; print bolt on the flat side

Layer height: 0.20 mm.

Perimeters / infill Clip: 4 walls, 20% infill .
Perimeters / infill Bolt: 5 walls, 70% infill
